Little Rock Nine:
Young People Sparking Change

During these workshops, students learn about the U.S. Civil Rights Movement through the intricate stories that surround the 1957 Little Rock Central High School Desegregation Crisis, including the personal journey of Little Rock Nine member, Minnijean Brown Trickey. Students learn the role that young people played in the Civil Rights Movement and how the lessons are still relevant today. This workshop introduces young people to the story of the Little Rock Nine, bridges history to the present + inspires them to think of themselves as agents of change.
