Let Your LIGHT Shine

🌿 Roots of the Spirit: Let Your Light Shine

A 12-Week Immersive Journey for Women Ready to Stop Hiding and Shine

A guided experience to step into the life and dreams calling you forward

What if you could step into your full light...
free from the quiet fears that have kept you playing small?

What if you could feel grounded in your worth, connected to your truth,
and guided by what actually matters to you?

Many women don’t realize they’re hiding.

They’re showing up. They’re caring deeply. They’re holding everything together.

And yet, somewhere along the way, they learned to put themselves last.

This is an invitation to return.
To your body.
To your voice.

To the part of you that knows you’re here for more.

EXPLORE WHAT'S POSSIBLE

What if you could align your life with your unique gifts and purpose?

Imagine breaking through what’s been quietly holding you back —
not by forcing change, but by reconnecting with yourself.

Imagine:

  • Feeling confident enough to honor your needs

  • Trusting your inner voice again

  • Letting yourself dream without immediately shutting it down

  • Moving through life with more ease, clarity, and self-trust

This is what happens when you stop hiding —
not just from the world, but from yourself —
and begin to
let your light shine.

This journey is not about fixing yourself.

It’s about:

  • Releasing patterns of self-abandonment and over-accommodation

  • Feeling safe enough to be honest — with yourself and others

  • Creating space for your dreams to come forward

Together, we co-create a sacred container to heal, reflect, dream big,
and shine with purpose and joy.

Who This Journey Is For

This experience is for the woman who:

  • Knows she’s meant for more, but isn’t sure how to claim it yet

  • Has learned to adapt, accommodate, and stay steady

  • Often senses what others need before she checks in with herself

  • Feels tired in a way that rest alone doesn’t fix

  • Carries dreams she hasn’t fully let herself want

  • Longs for a space where she doesn’t have to perform strength

You’re not broken.
You’ve been surviving.

And survival, over time, can dim even the brightest light.

Why We Hide

You didn’t start hiding because you lacked confidence.
You learned to hide because it kept you safe.

Through survival patterns, nervous-system responses, and social conditioning, many women learn to minimize their needs, soften their edges, and stay agreeable.

Over time, this creates distance from your own inner signals —
what you feel, what you want, what you need.

This journey isn’t about pushing past that.
It’s about gently rebuilding trust with yourself — so shining feels safe again.

THE SACRED CONTAINER

WEEKLY IMMERSIVE GATHERINGS

Feb. 3 - April 21

🌕 Tuesdays | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM EST
🌕 12 consecutive weeks | 90-minute live sessions

Each gathering is a spacious, intentional container that blends:

  • Guided reflection and dialogue

  • Grounding and somatic practices

  • Truth-telling and integration

  • Collective witnessing and care

Each week builds on the last, creating the internal stability needed to show up differently in your life — with more self-trust, clarity, and ease.

This is slow, intentional work, designed so your nervous system can come with you.

The Journey You’ll Move Through

Over 12 weeks, we move through the Roots of the Spirit: L.I.G.H.T. framework,
a grounded arc of reclamation and return:

L — Liberation
Unlearn the systems and expectations that conditioned you to hide, dim,
over-accommodate, overgive, and abandon yourself.

I — Innate Worth Reclaimed
Return to the truth of your inherent wholeness and worth.
No guilt, no proving, no permission required.

G — Grounded Roots
Root into who you are, honoring the lineage, wisdom, and power carried in your body.

H — Holding & Healing
Create safety for what arises when you stop performing, pleasing, and putting yourself last.

T — Truth as Liberation
Naming your needs, desires, and boundaries as an act of power—and staying anchored in yourself as you do.

This is not mindset work.
This is reclamation.

🧘🏿 A Sanctuary in a Heavy Time
The past few years have been especially heavy—especially for racialized women—as we continue to carry the weight of racism, injustice, and collective exhaustion.

We don’t need quick fixes or surface-level solutions.

We need
sanctuary.

A space to gather.
A space to tell the truth.
A space to be held.

A space to reignite and shine—even when the world tries to dim our light.

This journey centers racialized women, while welcoming all women who are committed to antiracism and walking in solidarity toward a more just and liberated world.

It’s not just about resisting what holds us back—it’s about reclaiming what has always been ours. Together, we’ll uproot the internalized systems that stifle our brilliance, and plant seeds of healing, radical self-love, joy, and authenticity.

This Isn’t Just a Program, It’s a Movement.

A brave space to hold discomfort, celebrate breakthroughs, and nurture our light—together.

TESTIMONIALS
(from past Let Your Light Shine participants)

To be held in high regard, loved gently, and surrounded with support and curiosity was the feeling I had while participating in the Let Your Light SHINE circle of women. Led by Spirit Tawfiq, we were grounded in a brave space that allowed me to speak freely, feel deeply, and cry without apologizing for tears that needed to fall. I also laughed until I cried, being able to open up to friends old and new. We created a portal of mending magic and healing. My heart began to eliminate her dark places and filled them with light. I am continuing to celebrate my moments of SHINE and being intentionally luminous.

Let Your Light Shine was such a warm, welcoming, soft landing for these hard days. With the craziness of the world today finding community is an absolute necessity and the community this program created allowed me to be open and honest about things going on in my life. Everyone listened and contributed insights that I needed to help push past any obstacles that I shared with them. The grief portion provided some coping skills that I didn't realize that I needed, until we tried them out.

Being part of this container shifted something deep in me. I’ve always known I carry gifts—but I often tucked them away or minimized them to make others comfortable. This space reminded me that I don’t have to shrink. I am meant to take up space. To shine. To be. And I can do so without apology. Thank you to Spirit and everyone who co-created such a beautiful, affirming environment where that truth could rise to the surface.

There was something radical about witnessing a circle of women show up with so much vulnerability and realness. In a world that constantly asks us to guard, prove, and explain ourselves, this felt like a breath of fresh air. To be seen—not in fragments, but in fullness. That kind of community is sacred.

What stood out to me was the way this space was held: guided but never rigid. We were allowed to flow, to wander, to come as we are. There was structure, but also breath. And in that breath, I found so much clarity and softness.

I’m walking away with more than just reflection—I’m carrying a deeper trust in myself. A practice of pausing. Of asking: “What would it mean to move through this moment with care?” That’s staying with me.

Would I encourage another woman to join? A thousand times yes. Especially if you’re craving a place to land, to feel held, and to remember that your softness is strength. That your story, your spirit, your way of being—are not too much. They are exactly enough.

ALSERA HAYES

Let Your Light Shine [was a] Love Letter to Sisterhood

This year, I had the absolute joy of being part of a women’s support group “Let Your Light Shine” that felt less like a series and more like a beautiful soul retreat. Imagine a virtual circle of women - diverse in age, background, and stories, coming together with open hearts, laughter, and the occasional shared tear. That was us.

One gathering that truly stayed with me was with the phenomenal Bernadette Pleasant. She took us on a journey through grief, not just the kind we usually think of, but the everyday, layered, complex kind. With powerful exercises and truth-telling that cut right to the heart, she helped us feel seen in our sorrow and gave us tools to hold space for our healing.

None of this would’ve come to life without the radiant Spirit, who curated and hosted the series with such grace and love. She created a space where every woman felt safe, celebrated, and uplifted.

I’m so grateful for every laugh, every “aha” moment, and every connection made. If you're thinking about joining in the future, do it. There’s magic here.

BERNADETTE S

Grief is only love that has no place to go.

That quote rings true for me more than I realized.

This year I had the opportunity to be surrounded by such incredible women. It was humbling, enlightening, and helped me to become a stronger woman.

The sisterhood of Let Your Light Shine was a place that I came to listen, learn, and shine. There was this sense of belonging with such an elite group of women that was facilitated and led by Spirit the convener of truth and justice.

...

I am here to tell you - use that damn toolkit - you are loved and your ancestors are proud of what you have become.

I would welcome any woman to be in a space where they can learn and grow their understanding of grief with a group of women who welcome vulnerability and provide grace.
